Marc Hébrart Cuvée de Réserve Brut

The Cuvee de Réserve Brut is the original bottle of the house. A classic expression of Marc Hébrart Champagne.

93% of the blend for this cuvée comes from Premier Cru vineyards; some of the Pinot Noir in the blend comes from Mareuil-sur-Ay, Avenay Val d'Or, Mutigny, Hautvillers, which are all 1er Cru. The Chardonnay comes from Mutigny (also a 1er Cru) and from two plots in Epernay.

This champagne has been rated 90 points from Decanter which is only given to wines which are outstanding and has superior character and style.

Composition

• Grapes - Pinot Noir 80%, Chardonnay 20%

Tasting Notes

Smell: Toasty and biscuit-y. Maybe even some burnt caramel - it reminded us of crème brûlée.

Taste: Puts us in mind of apples and some biscuit flavours on the long finish

Pairing Suggestion

Fried chicken. Yes you read correct. Fried chicken goes well with a brut champagne. We can also recommend steak or even duck breast - maybe with some fried potatoes. Yum.
