In this cuvée, the Chardonnay comes from the Grand Cru terroirs of Chouilly and Oiry and the Premier Cru terroir of Mareuil sur Aÿ.
The vines used to grow the grapes for this bottle have an average age of 40 years, and are grown on low chalky slopes, ideal for Chardonnay planting. Perhaps you can taste some of that chalkiness in this bottle.
Grapes - 100% Chardonnay
Smell: Stone fruits like sweet peaches or even some pineapple
Taste: Chalky lemon sherbet (in a good way) and some of that classic champagne
Blanc de Blancs delicate nature means it is always great enjoyed on its own. But if you fancy adding some food it will go great with prawns, oysters or other shellfish. If you want to go all fancy, caviar is delicious too.
